Williams’ marketing team, along with their in-house agencies, provide a great service. With their new marketing efforts, Williams will have a large presence in the gaming space for years to come. And we can’t wait to get back to work.
When I was at Williams, I worked on a number of projects with the marketing team. One of those was an initiative called “The Year in Review.” This was an annual report that was conducted with the entire marketing team and their partners and clients. The idea was to look at all the successes and failures of the marketing team and get some perspective on how they’ve done in the past year.
The Year in Review was like a yearly “check in” with the Marketing team. It was a look at how they did in the previous year as opposed to the previous year as a whole. For example, a year ago you might have seen an email that said, “Our new website is awesome!”. This would be a good time to check your email and see if anyone from the marketing team responded.
The Marketing team is a very busy bunch of people. They’re constantly working with the site owners on new design and content, and also with other departments on marketing related to web and social media. It’s no surprise that most marketing emails often get lost in the shuffle of everything else, but this kind of emails is a great opportunity to get a real peek into how the marketing team works together.
I like to keep my marketing emails short and sweet, because I know that my users are on my team, and they need to know that. I also like to make sure to use the subject line to tell people who I am, what I do, and the general direction of my marketing efforts.
Of course, when we say “marketing,” we mean “marketing email.” What you’ll find in these emails is that marketing is a very diverse and busy job. For example, the marketing team is working to get ads on the front page of the website, so that your visitors know the product and what they should be buying.
One of the marketing emails was sent to all our current members, and it included the subject line “Thank you for the email. We appreciate your interest in the video game.” We have a lot to be thankful for in our marketing department.
This is true. When you are working in marketing, you are always working on something and everything changes. It’s all about the details. You need to be quick on your foot, and you need to be quick to respond to your customers. The email we received in our mailbox, for example, is a great example of the details we work on when we’re working in marketing. It’s a response to a customer who didn’t even have the email in his Inbox.
When you are marketing, you need to be creative. But you also need to be aware of what is happening with your customers. What does this email or this video mean to you? How does it impact you and your company? Because if you can’t see that, you will never be able to respond to it.
