I would hope that all of the major technology marketing companies have a little more thought in their marketing practices or a better way of explaining their practices. But I’m not sure they do. Marketing can be a big ball of fun for a lot of companies, and I would love to see more thought put into marketing tactics and not all marketing is bad in the end.
The problem is that marketing is not a new field. When I started in marketing, it was a new field with no real definition. Marketing is what we do in marketing departments and what we do to try to make a sale. Marketing is a collection of tactics that aim to increase a company’s value and the amount of money they make. To really understand marketing, you have to look back on a time when marketing was a new field and has many definitions and theories.
