Android is designed for phones, and phones arent in the top 10 most popular platforms for apps. If you want to run an app on a tablet you have to get a device that runs the most popular version. Thats like running it on the new iPhone, but you have to pay for a device that runs the most popular version.

In fact, many apps in the market are designed specifically for tablets. The difference is that it takes more time and money to develop an app for a tablet. It doesn’t help that Android phones outsell tablets for the most part.
