Simple (But Important) Things To Remember About Spam Message Shortcut

We know that spam messages are a problem for all of us, but it’s much worse for some. For instance, there are people who don’t have smartphones and depend on their old-fashioned, physical keyboards to send emails. Once they press “enter,” the email is sent out into the world, whether they want it to be or not. Spam message shortcut is a feature that lets you configure your iPhone so that once you press enter, the message goes into your outbox instead of being sent.

This is especially useful if you don’t want to send a message once you’ve read it or if you’re composing an email to a group of people and don’t want one person to know what’s in the message before the group has seen it. If you have this feature turned on, go ahead and delete the conversation from your inbox because it will never make it there. After pressing “send,” the whole thing disappears until someone tells Gmail that they received it.

Simple (But Important) Things To Remember About Spam Message Shortcut :

1. This feature doesn’t mean that a message will never be received.

A message with this feature turned on will go directly to the recipient’s spam folder on the other end. The sender’s inbox won’t receive a notification that the email has been sent, and the sender won’t see if you’ve read the email or not. It simply sends it directly to your outbox and then deletes it from Gmail’s servers altogether. With Spam Message Shortcut, one person cannot tell another person whether they’ve read an email or not.

2. If you want to send a message without it going into the outbox, do not choose “Save Draft.”

If you don’t want your message to go directly to your outbox, but instead want it saved as a draft, choose “Save as Draft.” The message will not be sent until you’ve chosen “Send Now” and then sent the email. If you choose “Cancel,” the email will also be deleted from Gmail’s servers.

3. You can use this feature with any email client that Gmail supports.

While this is a Google service, it works with any email client that supports Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and other email services that work off Google’s servers. For instance, you can send emails using Outlook or Thunderbird (or any other program). You’ll just need to configure your mail client the same way as Gmail and select the “Save As Draft” option if you don’t want to send the message yet.

4. There is a way for you to be alerted that the message is being sent.

Again, the message will be sent straight to your outbox and won’t get any notification of that fact, but Google does have a way for you to find out if the message has been sent or not. By default, Gmail displays an alert every time you save a new email as a draft, but it’s easily turned off in Settings > Mail > Alerts & Notifications. If you don’t want alerts when you send emails as drafts, change this setting to “No.”

5. Even with the feature turned on, Gmail will never mark the messages as read automatically.

If you do have this feature turned on, it doesn’t mean that you’re being dishonest with your contacts. When you click “send,” the message will go directly to your outbox but will still be in Gmail until one of the contacts opens it or goes to their spam folder and finds it there. If they just check their spam folder, they won’t see the message at all because it’s been deleted from the server.
