Marketing and Communications Manager salary is a number that most professionals would be fairly proud to reach. It’s a major perk in any field of work, and it’s a number that is not often mentioned.
I know, it’s not a lot of money but it definitely helps to have a good salary.
In this day and age, especially with e-mail and blogs, we have all the tools to connect with our customers and build relationships. If we work hard enough, we can even make these relationships grow. In the information age, we have to work harder, and we have to be as effective as we can. If we aren’t, we’ll be left behind.
Its great to be on the marketing side of the business, but that’s not where its at in most companies. Most of our employees are in sales where they are primarily selling product. That’s where the money is.
If you want to be in the business of selling products, you are going to have to get your hands dirty. Many large companies that make products have product categories that are too big for them to sell to each other (eg. automotive, electronics, clothing, etc.) This means that they have to have a good grasp of what their own customers want and how to appeal to them.
We work in marketing. We are the “product” guys, and we’re all about “selling” our company’s product. For most companies, this means that we have to get our hands dirty so we can better understand how our customers want to buy our products. We think this is one of the reasons that we have higher levels of productivity. In our company, you have to interact with your customers every single time you decide to sell your product.
What this means is that as a marketing manager, you are usually expected to build a relationship with your customers. Your job is to make them feel like they matter to you. You go to their homes, you invite them over, you set up meetings, and you go out of your way to make your personal connections with them. In other words, you’re always trying to be the customer’s face.
I think that’s one of the most important things a marketing manager can do. You can tell people that you care about your business, but in marketing, being the face is really important. In a way, the marketing manager is a bit like a public relations person. You can be the public relations person for a company or a product, but in marketing it’s pretty much the other way around.
So that brings us to your job: the job of a marketing manager. You have to be there to interact with people who are likely to use your service and then connect with them. If you want people to come to your website or use your product, you need to be the face for your company. And that means you have to be very good at interacting with customers.
Marketing is the most important job in the world, because it connects us all. We have so much in common and have so much to offer. It’s a job where you have to communicate to people and tell them why they should buy your product and how it can help them improve their lives. Being a good communicator is a skill that requires both your time and your skill.
