Well, let’s get the obvious out of the way. I’m not making this up.

A marketing account executive is the person who works in the marketing department for an agency. The agency typically works for one company, and the marketing account executive works for the other company. While these positions may seem similar, there are a lot of differences between them. For instance, a marketing account executive works for the agency he works for, not for the company he works for, so he can have a much more diverse skill set.
In other words, a marketing account executive works for the company the marketing department works for. If a marketing account executive is working for his own company, that means he can have more freedom to make his own hiring decisions. This is important because not everyone wants to work for the same company.
Marketing account executives are just like any other account executive, but unlike other account executives, they have a degree and a job description. In fact, they are often hired as account executives in larger companies since they have more freedom in their day-to-day decisions.
In marketing, the job is to make sure that your company’s products are in the top 5 of the most popular searches on Google, Bing, Yahoo, and MSN, and they know how to do this.
Marketing account executives are usually employees of the company, but they can also be independent contractors. If so, their compensation can be similar to that of the company’s sales or marketing reps. If you check out the latest PayScale report on top sales and marketing representatives, you’ll see that most are making between $18,000 and $25,000 a year.
That is a lot of money and I’m not sure it’s enough. When I worked at a mid-sized (and somewhat-successful) advertising agency, I earned a little more than that. I know that some other companies have different pay scales. When I was working at a big-city advertising agency, we earned a lot more. I know that there are also some other variables that can factor in to the overall compensation.
Most of the big consulting companies I know that are big in sales and marketing also offer salary packages. They might have a base salary based on what the market will bear. I have no idea if those packages are offered by large consulting companies, small consulting companies, or independent consultants.
I’m not a lawyer, and I’m not even a fan of contract negotiation, so I can’t really comment on the legality or legitimacy of that kind of contract, but I do know that large consulting firms that offer high-end packages typically charge a lot more than small consulting firms for the same services. And the bigger the consulting company, the more likely they are to offer a package.
