Your social media following is important for your brand. Social media is how you share your thoughts, opinions, and updates with people. 

It’s how you build an audience. It’s vital for your business to maintain a social following so that it can grow. 

You need to create content that attracts followers which is the key to building your brand on social media to ultimately build a loyal following of people who trust you and follow what you do.

In this post, we’ll give you some strategies to grow an engaged audience:-

1. Offer something of value.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. Some people find video entertaining, while others might focus on articles with useful tips and tricks. 

The thing about social media is that it’s required to offer something of value to your followers in order for them to follow you back.

2. Be consistent and regular with your posting frequency.

Social media follows a feed algorithm! If people don’t see posts from you very often, they may stop following you because they think that their content will never show up in their feed again or that you’re inactive and not worth following anymore (even if they were really interested at one point).

3. When posting, make sure you add pictures and include a link to your website.

You don’t have to go crazy with the visuals, but it helps to show people that you’re a real person who works in your field and that you’re not just some random company blasting out ads all over the place. Also, remember that photos with a link in them do better in engagement than non-links!

4. Promote your posts on Twitter and Facebook, but don’t spam!

In order for people to follow you back they have to be engaged with your content. So if you spam them with hundreds of posts about one topic they will lose interest in you very fast. 

The best way to promote your content is to send a direct message to all your contacts about something that’s related or that you think they should see. You can also use Retweet buttons.

5. Manage your followers on Twitter and Facebook

The power of social media is in the engagement of your followers, so make sure they are active on the platform you are using. Twitter is all about your followers, so if you want to grow your presence on the platform you need to focus on them.

6. Use Facebook groups to grow your audience

This is very similar to my previous point with Twitter. On Facebook, it’s all about the people following you. You can create a group, post useful information for people in your field and invite them there so they can see what’s happening with their business. 

And the most important thing is that in every group there are rules! No spamming there! Just good content in exchange for engagement! This way you will get more likes, shares and comments which will help you grow your brand on Facebook!

7. Use Instagram in order to grow your blog

You can do this in two ways: work with influencers or go on your own. If you are interested in working with bloggers check our previous post about that. If you want to go on your own, you’re going to need a great set of tools, paid or totally free.

8. Use Pinterest to enhance your brand

If you’re into fashion, interior design or cooking then this is the platform you need to work with! You can make your Pinterest board really appealing by uploading great content. 9. Use social media to create awareness of an event/conference/seminar you are holding!

It’s a way to promote yourself and it can be very effective if used properly. This is a great way to work with bloggers and if you do it right it can bring in a lot of content for you! 

Also, make sure all the events are listed on your website and that they’re consistent with your brand.

10. Use social media in order to create awareness of a new product you are launching!

This is another great way to get people talking about your brand. If done correctly, it can become viral and spread all over the place! 

It’s not very different from promoting an event (just add some interesting information about the product), but you need to make sure that everything is consistent with your brand and that all the information is correct.
