My best advice: Listen to what the general manager says. It may be one person, but it’s always the same thing. I’m a firm believer in the “no surprises” rule, so if the manager tells me something that surprises me, I’ll make it my mission in life to know everything about that new hotel.

Also, if you see how well a company is doing in terms of customer satisfaction, then it is something to take seriously. If you see how poorly the company is doing then that is something to be concerned about.
