brand manager vs marketing manager

For many, this is a difficult question to answer. The difference between the two roles is really an issue for a lot of companies. In the past, the two roles were fairly similar. Now, the two roles are completely different. Many companies have two marketing managers, but often, the number of marketing managers is fewer than the number of marketing executives.

Marketing managers are the people who oversee the overall marketing and advertising strategy. They usually work in silos, overseeing departments who work with marketing, sales, and customer service. Marketing executives oversee all marketing. The marketing managers may also have other specialties like business development, content marketing, and online marketing.

When I began my career as a brand manager, I was in charge of all marketing for a Fortune 500 company. I’ve since transitioned to work with a handful of other companies, including some in the financial industry. In these companies, I’ve been tasked with building and managing multiple marketing efforts to include advertising, social media, content marketing, and more.

Ive been asked this question a lot lately, so I decided to answer it in the form of an infographic. Ive tried to do this by breaking it up into multiple sections, but you will have to scroll back up if you want to see the entire thing.

Marketing is the name for all the work that you do to market your brand. Brand manager is the name for the person you report to, so when Ive transitioned to work with a handful of other companies its been a little bit easier to break down and see where each role is in the process.

The difference between a marketing manager and a brand manager is like the difference between a painter and a plumber. A painter does a great job of painting a room, but a plumber is a specialist. A marketing manager, on the other hand, is the person who does the work to market a brand. And since brand managers are usually the lead to the marketing team, it makes sense that they are also the person who is responsible for getting the brand on the web.

Marketing managers are the ones that have a bigger role in the company’s marketing strategy. It’s not uncommon for a company to have a marketing manager as the point person for the marketing department within the company. This isn’t to say that someone who is a marketing manager can’t also manage the brand. A marketing manager can be a strategist, a communications director, a marketer, and a spokesperson.

I think its a good thing that marketing managers have a bigger role in the marketing department of a brand. There are a lot of people who are responsible for getting the brand on the web, and having someone who knows how to make a website, a website design, and a logo is one of those people.

This is a good thing, because it allows the marketing manager to be more efficient in their role. If a marketing manager cant do things like write web copy, do a website design, and do a logo, then I dont see why they need to do it.

I think I was the last guy in my marketing manager position. I went from being the guy who was responsible for all the marketing campaigns to the CEO of the company. I had a great team, but I was the one guy who never spent more than a couple of weeks at a time (sometimes less!).
