A new business owner in Canada once told me that my company was the most successful business in Canada at the time. This was back when I was still an engineer, and she told me that it was my job to build things. It was my job to build the business, to provide for my family, to do my best.

I could agree with her about that, but I don’t think it’s fair to say I was more successful at marketing my company than other successful companies were. In most cases, the people who are most successful at marketing their company are also the people least successful at marketing their company. This is because they are more self-aware. They know what they want and who they want it to appeal to and the process of making that happen is easier because they can see the results of their actions.

It’s not just marketers who are aware of the power of self-awareness. It’s anyone who wants to market their company, and it’s a bit of a catch-22. Not only are you on autopilot all the time, but you have to spend countless hours every day thinking about what makes your company successful.

Being self-aware isn’t just for marketers. It’s for anyone who wants to get better at marketing. We’ve all heard the saying, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” That’s especially true if you’re trying to market your company, or even your product or service.

Its probably not a good idea to say that to someone who has an idea for a new product or service, because they may assume you are talking about the exact way they do business. However, if you have the ability to look at the bigger picture and see how your company makes money for your employees, then you can start thinking about what you need to do to make that happen.

One of the very reasons why most marketing professionals don’t like pitching their products is that often their target audience is unaware of the value of what they are offering. Like if you can’t explain what your product does, then you’ll have a difficult time getting people to buy it. That’s why it’s good to give your target audience a reason why you might be different to their competitors.

As an employee at a marketing agency, you are constantly asked to do things that really dont seem to make any sense to someone who has never experienced it. Like when you are asked to make a video for your boss, you dont understand why its even a video, but then you go and make it anyway. Its just that simple. The same thing goes for marketing yourself with your personal website.

I’m going to be honest here. It seems like every marketing email I throw at someone these days is full of marketing jargon that I don’t really understand. This is because I am constantly learning and trying to be as relevant to my audience as possible. This is why I’m so glad I went through the process of becoming a blogger. I really want to be as useful as possible to my audience, and the blogger community is the best way I know of to accomplish this.
